Elena Mojsova was John‘s long-time friend that became his unofficial family. Towards his last years of his life, she was the closest family he had left, and stayed by his side until the end. After John’s passing in early 2023, he had left a task for Elena: how to proceed with his last wishes. Elena had decided to start The John J. Neary foundation to keep John’s legacy and memory alive, and continue his legacy of giving as he did throughout his career.

  Elena has always been passionate about helping others and making difference in their lives. She has held multiple positions within the Hospitality industry for many years. Elena also volunteered at the Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago. Further, she participates in many events to support brain tumor research (as she is a brain tumor survivor), and actively supports breast cancer research.

   As a founder of this foundation, her mission is to leave her mark by making a difference in people’s lives, to contribute to her community and beyond, and to hopefully make the world better place.
